Free split calculators

Every calculator here is free, works without an account, and calculates in your browser as you type — nothing is stored, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you use the share link, which puts your figures in the URL. Each one uses the same splitting engine as the Make It Even app, so the individual shares always add up to the original total exactly, even when the division isn’t clean.

Pick the one that matches the question you’re trying to answer. If you find yourself running the same calculation every month, a shared group keeps a running balance instead.

Why the shares always add up

Three people splitting $100.00 is the case most calculators get wrong. Rounding each share independently gives $33.33 each, which totals $99.99 and quietly loses a cent. Do that across a trip and the balance stops reconciling.

These calculators assign the remainder instead of discarding it, so one person pays $33.34 and the parts sum to exactly $100.00. The same discipline applies to percentage, share, and proportional splits, where the rounding gaps are larger.
